St. John’s
St. John’s Shelter Program for Women and Children is Sacramento’s only shelter which is exclusively dedicated to supporting homeless women with children. St. John’s strives to advance women from a point of crisis to a position of self-sufficiency in their lives. Since 1985, the program has provided a safe and supportive haven to more than 23,000 displaced homeless women and children.

St. John’s relies on donations from the community and local businesses to provide help and support to over 1,000 women and children each year.
There are many ways that you or your organization can make a difference in the lives of women and children:
Donate goods – See our wish list for the items we needthe most. We accept donations Tuesdays – Thursdays, 1:00pm to 6:00pm, and Saturdays, 10:00am to 4:00pm at our warehouse located at 4410 Power Inn Road, Sacramento.
Volunteer your time – We have a number of volunteer opportunities ranging from preparing meals to tutoring children to delivering food and furniture. See our full List of Volunteer Opportunities and contact our volunteer coordinator at (916) 453-1482 to learn more.
